Effective Speaking

Effective speaking is an essential skill for leadership and communication, and cadets have numerous opportunities to develop and practice public speaking throughout the year. The Air Cadet League hosts an annual Effective Speaking competition, where cadets can refine their skills in a formal setting. Beyond competitions, cadets gain experience through events such as our mess dinner, Annual Ceremonial Review, Battle of Britain Ceremony, and Remembrance Day Ceremony. These opportunities help build confidence and prepare cadets for leadership roles both within and outside the squadron.
